How to Use This Time Calculator

Set a starting date using the date and time fields. The calculator defaults to today's date and current time, but you can change it to any date.

Choose your operation — click "+ Add Time" to calculate a future date, or "- Subtract Time" to find a past date.

Enter the duration in days, hours, minutes, and/or seconds. You can combine them — for example, 30 days and 6 hours. The result updates instantly.

Quick calculations: use the preset links below the calculator for common calculations like "30 days from now", "90 days ago", "24 hours from now", etc. Each opens a dedicated page with the full result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this account for leap years?

Yes. The calculator uses JavaScript's Date object which correctly handles leap years, month lengths (28–31 days), and all calendar rules. Adding 365 days from a date will correctly cross leap days when applicable.

How many days are in each month?

January: 31, February: 28 (29 in leap years), March: 31, April: 30, May: 31, June: 30, July: 31, August: 31, September: 30, October: 31, November: 30, December: 31. A mnemonic: "30 days hath September, April, June, and November."

Can I share a calculation?

Yes. The URL updates automatically with your calculation parameters. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar to share the exact calculation. For common calculations, you can also bookmark or share the dedicated preset pages (like "30 days from now").

What is the difference between adding days and adding hours?

Adding 1 day adds exactly 24 hours to your starting date/time. Adding hours, minutes, or seconds allows finer granularity. You can combine them — for example, adding 30 days and 6 hours moves the result forward by 726 hours total.
